System Configuration and Conveying Technology
Our parking garages begin with an automated parking cylinder or tower at its core. The core is a hollow post in the form of a cylinder and can be used in connection with wiring and illumination systems. The carousel contains a number of vertically movable platform conveyor systems. The image shows a model with four platforms supported by a heavy-duty rotary rack placed in the base of the construction. The carousel is powered by a platform conveyor system rotating on circular tracks. All platform conveyor systems work independently of each other and together form the carousel. Each of the platform conveyors moves vertically and contains a platform with a sled that moves horizontally on tracks. Since the sled moves horizontally, the carousel can maintain a constant circular motion. Each one of the platform conveyors alone is capable of moving a single platform with its sled, from the lowest point to the highest level and back all within a short period of time. Parking Spaces and Conveying Procedure
For optimal parking and retrieval efficiency the housing is designed concentrically around the carousel. Vehicles are arranged to optimize the capacity of the parking garage and also allow easy retrieval of each car. Cylindrical construction ensures optimal access to each storage bay by the vehicle handling system. When a vehicle is retrieved from its storage bay, it is turned 180 degrees on the turn table to enable a forward driving exit. Because the carousel is constantly rotating, vehicle retrieval is always fast and efficient.
